After School Club
At a Glance
The After School Club is a DHS licensed program that cares for children ages 5–12, Monday–Friday from 3:00–5:30PM. The After School Club follows the Wilbur–McMahon school year calendar and observes the same schedule for holidays, snow days and closures.
Daily Schedule
3:00: We meet the children in a designated area at the Wilbur–McMahon school.
3:00: Our day together begins with a trip to the playground to run around and play games.
4:00: We safely walk together from the playground to the Community Center. Everyone settles down for a healthy snack while socializing with friends.
4:15: Homework begins. We try for quiet, structured homework or reading time. Our staff offers guidance with homework and checks for accuracy and neatness.
4:45: Age-appropriate projects and/or activities are scheduled that give children the opportunity to make choices that encourage creativity. We also welcome free play for students to use building blocks, toys, sports equipment, art supplies, and more to stimulate the imagination!
5:30: Cleanup and dismissal. Families may pick up children anytime before 5:30.
Sliding Scale Pricing
After the overwhelming positive feedback we received regarding our sliding scale during our Summer Camp, we are excited to introduce a sliding scale pricing model to After School Club program as well. This modality ensures that after-school childcare remains accessible and affordable for all families.
Our three-tier pricing structure is based on gross family income and household size, allowing us to provide fair and flexible tuition rates. This model is designed to support families who need financial assistance while maintaining the high-quality camp experience that every child deserves.
We are committed to making Summer Camp a welcoming and inclusive experience for all!
