What is Canasta?
Canasta is a card game of the Rummy family that is usually played by four players in two partnerships. The goal is to form melds of cards of the same rank and score points. A key feature of Canasta is the use of "canastas" — melds of seven or more cards of the same rank. The game is typically played with two standard decks of cards, including jokers, which are wild cards. Canasta emphasizes strategy, teamwork, and timing, making it a popular social and competitive game.

What is Mahjong?
Mahjong (or Mah Jongg) is a four-player tile game from China, using 144 tiles with suits (bamboo, circles, characters), winds, dragons, and bonus tiles. The goal is to form a winning hand of four melds (sets or runs) and a pair. Players draw and discard tiles, aiming to complete their hands. The game blends skill, strategy, and luck.

WHERE: In the Little Compton Community Center Theater.
No RSVPs required, drop in friendly.
We will have some Rummikub sets available but encourage people to bring their own.
