Experience the creativity of our community in the heart of town. Lighthouses on the Lawn is a premier outdoor exhibit hosted here at the Community Center. We’ve invited a select group of regional painters to transform blank lighthouse silhouettes into unique masterpieces.

How it Works

• The Art: Invited artists bring their "painterly magic" to a Sakonnet Lighthouse “blank”. See images on this page for reference.

• The Auction: An online gallery is open for bidding all summer long, allowing collectors from across the globe to participate.

• The Impact: When the auction closes, proceeds are split: 50% of the sale price goes directly to the artist, and the remainder supports the Community Center’s mission to provide recreational, educational, social, and cultural enrichment for all.

• The Logistics: Winning bidders may pick up their lighthouse, or shipping can be arranged for an additional fee.
