Details at a Glance

“Lighthouses on the Lawn” is a premier outdoor exhibition hosted right here at the Community Center. We’re inviting a select group of regional painters to transform blank lighthouse silhouettes into unique masterpieces.

How it Works

• The Art: Each artist brings their "painterly magic" to a custom Sakonnet lighthouse “form”. See image right.

• The Auction: Our online gallery is open for bidding all summer long, allowing collectors from across the globe to participate.

• The Impact: When the gavel falls, proceeds are split: 50% of the sale price goes directly to the artist, and the remainder supports the Community Center’s mission to provide educational, recreational, social, and cultural enrichment for all.

Timeline

• Blank Lighthouse Pickup: Monday, May 18th 4pm-7pm and Tuesday, May 19th 9am-11am at the Community Center.

• Lighthouse Drop-off & Photography: Wednesday, June 24th 4pm-7pm and Thursday, June 25th 9am-11am at the Community Center.

• Patron Preview Party & Auction Opening: Saturday, June 27th 5pm-7pm. Participating artist are invited to attend at no cost. Please RSVP by June 22nd.

• Auction Closes: Friday, August 28th 5pm

• Artist Closing Reception: Friday, August 28th 5pm-7pm

Artist Registration

Participating artists must register by Monday, May 4th at 6pm.
